Welcome to the month of June.
During this special month we pray to the Sacred Heart.
Saturday 5th June will be a very special day for us, the day the Primary 4 children make their First Holy Communion. We have been very busy preparing for this special event.
Even though the Summer Holidays are fast approaching, it is still important for us to continue to practise our skills and build on our learning at home.
Don't forget to do some independent learning everyday through Mathletics, Education City, MyOn, Oxford Owl and Bug Club.

In World Around Us and Literacy, we learned about The Water Cycle. We used our ICT skills to make an animation about The Water Cycle. Here are Miss Conway's class working together in groups, making our backgrounds and filming our animations using iMotion and iMovie. We had lots of fun creating these animations!
During online learning, we read the novel of The Worst Witch. We really enjoyed reading this book and completing lots of Literacy activities linked to the story. Here are Mrs McCormack's class taking part in a drama lesson with Mr Morgan on The Worst Witch.
Mrs Walker's class have been brushing up on our poetry skills, learning to create poems using a range of poetic features, such as onomatopoeia, rhyme and alliteration. We had great fun playing with words and creating poems about fireworks and waterfalls.
Mrs Walker's class have been using a range of practical equipment to help us with our problem solving and calculations skills. We have been using Base 10, Numicon and Cuisenaire to build our place value, addition/subtraction and multiplication/division skills. Practical maths is a fun way for us to build our skills and make our numeracy more meaningful.
As part of our ICT we created animations using iMovie. Here are Miss Lara's class having lots of fun working in pairs creating their storyboards for their animations on The Water Cycle.
In PE we have been practising our throwing and catching skills. We play lots of team games which is great fun! Here we are taking part in PE and The Daily Mile. If you look closely, you might even see Mrs McCormack walking The Daily Mile in her heels!!!
