This week in Literacy we were: staying on the line, listening to nursery rhymes, using the pegboards, writing our names, talking about Kipper and his family, clapping the syllables in animal names and using scissors to cut along a straight line. We got to choose a book from the library and return it to the shelf. We played Kim's Game. It was fun.
In Numeracy we were: talking about number 3, sorting by colour, matching, using the numicon shapes in the feely bag, making numbers with the eleflips, using the pupil counting sticks and counting with the sumbeads. We are using our class visual timeline and learning to copy over our numbers. We logged onto mathseeds with our QR codes and are self registering in the morning when we arrive in the classroom.
We had our 2nd music lesson with Malachi and he sang songs with us. It was fun. Olivia, Amelia, Milessa and Ayres won Malachi's stickers for good singing. Well Done to all the children for singing along.
On Tuesday we had P.E. with Niamh. We are learning to find a space to exercise in. We played musical statues to warm up. Then we played 2 new games called the 'remote control' game and the rewind game. Moubeshiyr and Emma won Niamh's stickers this week. Moubeshiyr had some really cool dance moves.
We played with JIT during our playtime and created our own pictures. We had to wait and take turns so that everyone had a chance to make their picture.
At the end of the week we have our 1st assembly in the big gym with Mr McCreesh.
