Letter for P1 Parents
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
As a school, we pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming environment where we value and support our parents as partners in our children’s education. The recent adjustment to morning drop-off arrangements has been introduced to encourage and develop independence in our pupils, supporting them to confidently transition into school from the door on their own. In addition, we are always mindful of our responsibility to do our very best to keep all children safe, and our procedures are designed with this in mind.
We recognise, however, that every child is different. If, as a parent, you feel that your child would benefit from you accompanying them into school, particularly at this stage, you are more than welcome to do so. We are keen to ensure that all children feel safe, secure, and supported during their arrival each morning.
I would also like to apologise that this change was not communicated more clearly in advance. We appreciate your understanding and feedback, and we will continue to ensure that communication with parents remains a priority.
If you would like to discuss your child’s individual needs further, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Yours sincerely,
Seamus McCreesh
Principal
