Today we carried out an investigation into how plants absorb water from the soil. We prepared and carried out an experiment using kitchen roll, water and food colouring which showed us how the water is absorbed through the stem around the plant. We observed the changes in the kitchen roll throughout the day and discussed how to make it a fair test.
