Primary 7 Visit Allstate
Mr O’Hagan’s Primary 7 class visited Allstate in Belfast this week. The class shared the visit with Primary 7 pupils from St.Patrick’s Annaghmore. Both sets of pupils had to work collaboratively to solve tasks which included building a spaghetti tower. Listening skills and teamwork were in high demand and the children were absolutely amazing, working well and sharing roles and responsibilities.
We were then taken on a tour of the tech giant’s building with one of the highlights getting to see the mammoth cranes at Harland & Wolff Shipyard - which ties in so well with our current WAU topic of Titanic.
Finally we were invited into their boardroom to host a meeting where important topics were discussed like, school dinners, homework and school uniforms!
All at St.Patrick’s would like to thank the kind staff at Allstate for hosting the Educational visit and for the goodie bags. It was a brilliant day out and showed the children all the type of skills need for the workplace and the tech industries.
