SPSC 1 October week 1

9th Oct 2025

This week we have been busy once again; plenty of practical games to help us explore our learning for the week.
We explored sorting, describing and categorizing shapes and objects in our classroom.
We looked at sorting into sets, and linked this to our multiplication and division skills. Numicon is always fun to help us with these skills.
In literacy we worked on our letter formation and sound matching skills, everyone enjoys the alien spelling game on the IWB.
We started to use some of the signs of autumn we have spotted during outside play to make Play-doh time even more fun! And included lots of new sensory experiences including rainbow rice and touchy-feely pumpkin craft.
On Thursday we have the special experience Attention Autism with Kiera, our awesome Speech and Language therapist. We loved her funny jiggling toys, popping worm cups and taking turns to bowl the cups.

In music we have continued to practice songs based on Jack and the Beanstalk, this week we added some hand claps and instruments to the beat of the song.

Another fun week in our classroom.
