SPSC 1 Weekly roundup - November week 4
Monday:
The boys practiced adding three numbers in numeracy while the younger boys enjoyed developing their fine motor skills by making playdough. We also began our work on money, with the younger boys learning to recognise and count 1p coins up to 5.
Tuesday:
In cookery, the boys baked delicious chocolate chip cookies, following instructions carefully and measuring ingredients. The younger boys also played hopscotch to help practise counting to 10 in a fun and active way.
Wednesday:
We enjoyed getting creative with arts and crafts and started preparing for Christmas. The boys made snowmen and wreaths using glue and tissue paper, showing great imagination and finger control.
Thursday:
During Speech and Language, the boys listened to and learned about the story of The Three Little Pigs, developing their listening, understanding, and speaking skills.
Friday:
With Miss Donnelly, the boys completed lovely writing work in literacy, where they wrote diary-style entries about their week. In numeracy, the boys took on money challenges. The younger boys filled their piggy banks using 1p coins, while the older boys practised finding change when buying items from our classroom “shop”.
We are starting to get in the festive spirit as we begin preparations for our class show. It has been another busy and successful week full of learning, creativity, and fun in SPSc1!
