SPSC1 October week 2

17th Oct 2025

Week 2 of October has been very busy in SPSC 1.

On Monday we learned how to make Jiggly Jelly in cookery, then luckily it set on time so we got to enjoy eating it.

This week the boys practiced their cutting skills. We used fresh fruit and learned how to cut safely. It was a bonus when Ms Bolger said we could eat it- enjoying some delicious fresh fruit and exploring our taste buds

Our younger boys practiced with their pencil holding and writing numbers- they are doing brilliant

We had great fun with healthy kids during our PE time, while also taking part in daily mile every morning! The boys love checking their heart, to check how exercise has made it beat faster than formal.

We got to explore outside for art this week, and made ghosts for the trees for Halloween. The boys used paint to create colourful hanging ghosts.

In Music it was extra exciting this week as we had a special visitor, Malachy who played the guitar for us.

Finally, Friday was an exciting day! Felix celebrated his 8th birthday and we made Halloween Lava lamps with Miss Donnelly! We learned about the density of liquids making them float or sink. The boys had a brilliant week!
