SPSC1 weekly round up- 9th, 10th, 11th, 18th, 19th and 20th February

20th Feb 2026

What a fantastic and productive few weeks we have had in SPSC1! The boys have been working incredibly hard and achieving so much across all areas of learning.

In Maths, we have been focusing on bar charts and tally charts. The boys not only created their own charts but also developed questions to quiz their friends, turning their learning into a fun group challenge. Our younger boys have also been working hard on number recognition and number activities, building strong foundations in their mathematical understanding.

For Safer Internet Day, we got creative and designed our very own “Alexa”! The boys had brilliant ideas about technology, how it helps us, and how to stay safe online.

We are so proud of our beautiful class displays, “Our Home”, “The Three Little Pigs”, and our lovely “Valentine’s – Sending Love” display, which has brightened up our classroom.

The younger boys have discovered some fantastic new phonics activities on the iPads – how lucky are we to have our very own devices to support our learning! The enthusiasm and engagement have been wonderful to see.

Our Daily Mile continues to be a huge success. Even in the rain, the boys have shown determination and positivity. It’s a brilliant way to prepare for the day ahead and support our wellbeing.

In the tuff tray, we explored using shapes to create houses, linking our learning creatively across different areas.

We have also had lots of celebrating recently, with many boys receiving certificates for their fantastic achievements – well done to everyone!

To finish off our busy weeks, we completed our final swimming session. A huge well done to all the boys for their effort, confidence, and progress in the water.

What a wonderful few weeks in SPSC1 – we are so proud of all the hard work, enthusiasm, and smiles!
