SPSC1 Weekly round up 11th-15th May

15th May 2026

This week in SPSC1, we worked together as a whole class to create an animation all about healthy and unhealthy foods. Everyone enjoyed sharing ideas and helping to bring the animation to life.

In art, we explored painting using different objects to print and make a variety of shapes and patterns. We also designed our own school lunch menus on the whiteboard, thinking carefully about healthy and tasty choices.

Some of the younger boys focused on recognising numbers 1–10 using Numicons to support their counting and number skills.

In PE, we had lots of fun taking part in athletics activities and practising different movements and skills.

During outdoor play, we enjoyed taking games outside to play together, including Snakes and Ladders, which helped us practise turn-taking and teamwork.

In our water tuff tray activity, we washed fruit while focusing on different sounds and language development. We also practised threading letters to help us build and spell CVC words.

For RE, we created beautiful “Month of May” artwork dedicated to Mary, which is now proudly displayed in class.

We had great fun working with speech and language therapist Emma during our communication activities this week.

On Friday, we enjoyed a lovely snack time where we tried banana on toast and explored different fruits.

We ended the week with cookery, making delicious “no egg” cheese and tomato muffins. Everyone did a fantastic job helping to prepare and taste them!
