SPSC1 weekly round up 27th-29th

29th May 2026

We have had another fantastic short week in SPSC1!

This week, our younger boys have been working hard on the letter “i”, practising recognising, sounding, and writing it with growing confidence.

Our older boys have been exploring poetry writing, using their creativity and imagination to create some wonderful pieces of work.

With the lovely warm weather, we enjoyed lots of time outdoors. The boys had great fun with water play, using funnels and tanks to explore pouring, filling, and cooling down in the sunshine. We also took our story time outside, enjoying books together in the fresh air.

In maths, we have continued working with Numicon, developing our understanding of numbers through practical activities. Our older boys have been learning about time and are now confidently telling the time using both digital clocks and the 24-hour clock.

We also enjoyed a session with Fitness Freddy, and the boys had the best time taking part in all the fun activities and exercises.

At snack time, we tasted some lovely new fruits, including pears, green grapes, and apples, encouraging healthy eating and trying new foods.

To finish off the week, we became bakers and made our own cupcakes with frosting. The boys thoroughly enjoyed mixing, decorating, and of course tasting their delicious creations!

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and we look forward to another exciting week ahead.
