We are starting our Book Club in the Nursery. Each week the children will be able to borrow a book of their choice on a Monday and they will return it on a Friday.
The Book Club is an opportunity for the children to share their favourite stories with you and other members of their family. It is not a reading book. The most important things you want your child to do are:
To respect books and look after them
To get to know about books
To come to love books
To hold a book the right side up
To turn to the front of the book to begin the story
To turn the pages at the appropriate time when the story is being read
To learn about language
To tell the story from the pictures
