Pupils in Mr Mullan’s Primary 7 class have been exploring the stories of Titanic survivors as part of their World Around Us topic. Linking their learning with ICT, the class created their own podcasts during Digital Audio lessons.
Focusing on real-life survivor accounts, pupils carried out research to understand the experiences of those who lived through the disaster. They then carefully storyboarded and scripted their ideas, planning how best to present these powerful stories in an engaging and respectful way.
Using the GarageBand app, pupils recorded and edited their podcasts, adding narration, sound effects and music to enhance their final pieces. This hands-on project allowed them to develop important digital skills while also building confidence in communication and creativity.
The finished podcasts were thoughtful, informative and highly engaging. Well done to all of Primary 7 for their hard work - an excellent example of combining history with digital learning!
