WAU Science Day-P1 Mrs Mc Kenna
23rd Oct 2025
As part of our exciting Science Day, Primary 1 explored pumpkins using all their senses! The children looked, touched, and smelt the pumpkin as they investigated what was inside. They discovered the slippery seeds, the bright orange flesh, and the unique pumpkin scent.
After our investigation, everyone had a turn planting pumpkin seeds to see if we can grow our very own pumpkins in the future.
To ensure a fair test, we also planted a seed which we will keep in the dark, one we will not water and one with just sunlight. We are excited for the results!
It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience—full of curiosity, discovery, and fun!
