This week in Literacy we listened to the story of the Little Acorn. Lennon got his photograph taken.
We were using the tambourine to clap the syllables in Autumn words. We were learning to copy over and under our names and stay on the line. We started our set 1 speed sounds and watched the video on 'Name the pictures'. We used the JIT5 program to write our names and draw a picture.
In Numeracy we were learning about the number 5 using the Numicon shapes and continued sorting by kind/type and size. We created some work together for our sorting display in the classroom.
In the World Around Us we talked about Autumn and changes in the weather.
We were learning a new song in Religion. It is called 'I have a name'. We talked about the things that our family do to show us that they care for us.
On Tuesday we had P.E. with Niamh. We played musical statues, did star jumps and squats. Nandino Lennon Gabriella and Millessa won the stickers.
Malachi came on Wednesday. We sang Old McDonald had a farm and we were learning a new Autumn song called 'All the leaves are falling down'.
This week some children got their first certificates for using Mathseeds. Well done to Ellucio, Gus, Emma, Nandino and Milessa. Work hard at home and maybe there will be more next week.
