This week in Literacy we were learning the sounds for o, c and k. We sorted some pictures for their initial sounds. We listened to a story called Kipper's Toy Box and wrote about our favourite toys. We painted the toys we brought into school last Friday and our beautiful work is displayed in school. We were sounding our set 1 green words with the magnetic letters and played the balloon game on topmarks.
In Numeracy we were learning about the number 9 and reading and writing the number 3. Some children won certificates for their mathseeds and we talked about the length of the number rods. We played 'fill the gap' and 'Which shape is missing?' with the numicon shapes.
In the World Around Us we took photos of our pumpkin seed growth for week 3 and sorted some toys. We also had to guess the toy in the feely bag.
We watched some videos on feelings and talked about a little girl called Lucy.
At P.E. with Niamh we found spaces, played listening games and continued gymnastics by learning to balance on 1 foot.
We were writing our new sounds and the number 3 in the sand trays.
