Working hard in Primary 1
18th Nov 2025
This week in Numeracy were learning to read and write the number 4. We added the number 10 on our counting stick and used it in mental maths every day. We were also using the number rods and talking about size. Well done to the 4 children who got mathseeds certificates this week.
In Literacy were clapping syllables for toys, listening for rhyming words, learning the formation for the letters u, b and f and continuing with new keywords. Remember to watch the short videos on the Home-School section of the school website. We listened to a story called The Toy's Party. We used the magnetic boards to build set 1.1 and 1.2 words with the letters.
We continued working for our road safety display and began to decorate the stars for the foyer.
In PE we were travelling and jumping. We learned how to do the tuck position with Niamh.
We began to listen to the music for our Christmas sing song and we are beginning to say our speaking parts for our performance.
We look forward to meeting you on Friday at our Parent Teacher Day.
