Message for Parents/ Carers

7th Nov 2025

(Please use the translate bar above if necessary)

Dear Parents and Carers,

We wanted to let you know that there have been a few cases of chickenpox in school recently.

Chickenpox is a common childhood illness that causes an itchy rash with spots and sometimes a mild fever. It spreads easily, so we ask that you keep an eye out for symptoms such as:

  • A rash that turns into small, fluid-filled blisters

  • Feeling tired, unwell, or having a slight temperature

If your child develops these symptoms, please keep them at home and let the school know. Children can return to school once all the spots have crusted over, which usually takes around 5–7 days.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep everyone healthy.

Warm regards,

Seamus McCreesh
Principal
