We have really enjoyed listening to the 'Owl Babies' story and have loved playing with Mummy Owl and her babies. We went on an outdoor learning adventure to try and find materials to build a nest for the owls. We used our clip boards to draw some twigs and leaves and then gathered these to make a big nest.We even found Mummy Owl and her babies up in the trees. In Literacy we were able to sound out and blend 'mum' and 'owl.' In Numeracy we rolled a dice and could place the correct number of owls in each nest. We loved creating a large whole group painting about the Owls and sang the song; '10 Little Owls!.'
