Gerard Kerr, a fireman visited Primary 5 today. He is part of the safety Team for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. The Primary 5 classes thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Kerr's talk about fire safety. He emphasised the importance of having a fire escape plan in place and the procedure to follow before going to bed for e.g. take out plugs. Each child has been provided with a Safety Team pack which has been designed to get the safety message across in a fun and effective way.
